French armoire in plum pudding mahogany

A French armoire or wardrobe in the Louis XVI style. Wonderful quality all in being in the best plum pudding mahogany veneers on hardwood, and panelled inside. There are two large mirrored doors with a drawer below. Inside the is an interior drawer and shelves, although we can easily fit a rail for hanging. There are fielded panels to the sides, each door is flanked by shaped columns, and there are ormolu mounts and appliqués throughout. Made by a well respected Firm of cabinet makers in the late 19th Century, and stamped to the interior. Good warm colour and lovely condition overall.
