A wonderful quality French Bureau Plat or writing table in Kingwood and tulipwood but crossbanded and inlaid with various hardwoods. Made by the esteemed Maison Leger of Paris this is a very nice example of their cabinet making. Good practical size and nicely finished to the back it can be used in the centre of the room if desired. In the Louis XVI style but dating to the end of the 19th Century. With original stamped locks, oak lined drawers, brass mouldings,and original tooled leather top a very smart writing table.
